Just under 50 industry experts from Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary and Spain attended this year’s user forum on electric horizontal directional drilling organised by MAX STREICHER GmbH & Co. KG aA. The event provided a versatile platform for technological information, professional exchange and networking. At the same time, the forum highlighted just how essential electrification is for the future development of horizontal directional drilling technology.
Through a high-quality presentation programme in the morning, participants gained a comprehensive overview of a wide range of perspectives on electric drilling technology – from practical application and planning to future technical directions.
The afternoon was entirely devoted to practical applications. As part of an in-house exhibition, STREICHER presented the ecotec product portfolio. The focus was on the fully electric horizontal drilling rigs HDD80-E and HDD20-E, complemented by the HPP400-E mud pump – also electrically powered – and the VC70 vacuum crawler. Visitors took the opportunity to examine all the machines up close, discuss technical details and see the performance and added value of STREICHER’s electric solutions first-hand.
In a relaxed atmosphere, there was then an opportunity for networking and in-depth discussions between users, experts and company representatives.
The 2026 user forum left a lasting impression on the participants. The combination of in-depth technical information, intensive discussion and practical insights provided a wide-ranging overview of electric horizontal directional drilling.
